Parental Notification of Standardized Assessments - 2018

September 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As part of our comprehensive educational program at Camden County Technical Schools, we provide our students with an array of assessment opportunities based on a variety of needs and circumstances.  Some of these reasons include gathering useful data for teachers to use in guiding their instruction, assessing how well a student has mastered content in a particular subject area, and assisting our students on the path to graduation.  While participation in standardized assessments does not occur daily at CCTS, it is one of many ways that we check student progress and performance during the course of the school year.

A comprehensive list of standardized assessments utilized by the district throughout the school year can be accessed on the CCTS website through the following link:

 or by visiting the district web page and selecting

            --> Departments, then
                        --> Assessments or Curriculum & Instruction, then
                                    --> the bulleted Assessments link on the left-hand side of the page

The chart posted includes information that you may find helpful, including when the assessment typically occurs and sample questions that can be accessed in order to help students prepare.

If you have any questions regarding any of these assessments, please contact your child’s counselor or case manager.
