Parental Notification of Standardized Assessments
September 30, 2016

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As part of our comprehensive educational program at Camden County Technical Schools, we provide our students with an array of assessment opportunities based on a variety of needs and circumstances. Some of those reasons include gathering useful data for teachers to use in guiding their instruction, assessing how well a student has mastered content in a particular subject area, and assisting our students on the path to graduation. While participation in standardized assessments does not occur daily at CCTS, it is one of many ways that check student progress and performance during the course of the school year.

Included with this letter, please find a comprehensive list of standardized assessments that are utilized by the district throughout the school year. The chart includes information that you may find helpful, including when the assessment typically occurs and sample questions that can be accessed in order to help students prepare.

If you have any questions regarding any of these assessments, please contact your child’s counselor or case manager.

Sincerely,

Karen M. DiGiacobbe
